With a parade featuring more than 100 antique and unique tractors, a three-night bingo tradition, live music, a beer garden, a Sunday evening concert, flea markets, family activities, food, tournaments, and more, you could easily spend the entire Labor Day weekend in West Liberty.

The Labor Day Festival takes place at West Liberty Lions Club Park, where visitors can enjoy festival activities, vendors, food, and entertainment throughout the weekend.

Friday evening includes the annual ice cream social, and BINGO begins at 7:00 p.m.

In fact, BINGO is one of those traditions that continues throughout the festival weekend. It is held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, giving visitors another reason to stick around after the day's activities.

The West Liberty Labor Day Parade begins at 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning, and one of the things that makes this parade so memorable is what comes rolling through town.

More than 100 antique and unique tractors typically participate in the parade.
Local community members and collectors bring out their vintage farm equipment and take part in this annual tradition, creating a parade that is about as West Liberty as it gets.

For people who grew up around farming, the tractors can bring back memories of equipment they remember from their childhood.

For collectors, it is an opportunity to see an impressive variety of vintage machinery.

And for children, well, there is something pretty exciting about watching more than 100 tractors make their way through town.

The parade travels through the village before ending at Lions Club Park, where the festival continues.

Saturday Afternoon: From Tractors to Festival Food
Once the parade makes its way to Lions Club Park, another Labor Day tradition begins: the search for lunch.

After watching more than 100 antique and unique tractors roll through town, plenty of people make their way toward the festival's many food vendors. And if you've worked up an appetite watching the parade, you won't have to look far.

The festival is known for its variety of classic fair and festival foods. You might find yourself choosing between Bourbon Chicken, BBQ pork, apple dumplings, chicken and noodles, and plenty of other favorites.

And don't forget something cold to drink.

The lemon shake-up stand sponsored by the youth group of Oak Grove Mennonite Church is another popular stop during the festival.

For many visitors, this is part of what makes a community festival so enjoyable. You aren't sitting down to a carefully planned restaurant meal. You're walking around with your family, deciding what smells the best, sharing bites, finding a place to sit, and probably going back for something else before the afternoon is over.

Saturday Evening: Live Music & the Beer Garden
Don't make dinner plans that take you away from the festival Saturday evening.
The Beer Garden opens at 4:00 p.m., followed by an evening of live music.

The 2026 Saturday lineup includes:
Kenny Chaffin — 4:00–6:00 p.m.
John Whitehead — 6:00–8:00 p.m.
Tucker Munz — 8:00–10:00 p.m.

The Saturday evening music is sponsored by The Peoples Savings and Loan Company, one of the local businesses helping support this long-standing community tradition.

And if you've been keeping track, Saturday has even more going on.

BINGO starts at 7:00 p.m.

There is something wonderfully small-town about spending a Saturday evening surrounded by music, friends, festival food, and community activities.

Sunday: Take Your Time
After a busy Saturday, Sunday gives you another opportunity to enjoy the festival at a little slower pace.

The festival grounds open at noon, with antique, craft, and flea market vendors, food, and other activities continuing throughout the afternoon.

For visitors who have traveled to West Liberty, Sunday is also a great day to explore the area beyond the festival.

Take a walk around town. Visit local businesses. Make a trip to a nearby attraction. Or simply enjoy the bungalow and spend some time with the people you came with.

Then come back to Lions Club Park for Sunday evening's entertainment.

Sunday Evening: Music, Worship & a Free Concert
The 13th Annual Labor Day Concert takes place Sunday, September 6, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

And just like so much of the Labor Day Festival, admission and parking are free.

The concert features performances by Caleb & John and Rachel Purcell, along with uplifting worship led by Rekindle from Cedarville University.

Visitors can spend the afternoon enjoying the festival before settling in for an evening of music and worship.

If you plan to attend the concert, bring a lawn chair for comfortable outdoor seating.

And before you call it a night, there's one more West Liberty Labor Day tradition:
BINGO at 7:00 p.m.

Monday: Family Day
By Monday, you may think you've done just about everything—but the Labor Day Festival isn't finished yet.

Monday is Family Day, with activities designed especially for children and families.

The day's activities include:

• Face painting
• Inflatables
• Balloon twisting
• A magic show

It is a great way to end the weekend, particularly for families who have made Labor Day an annual tradition.

Children can enjoy one more day of activities while parents and grandparents get a little more time together before everyone heads back to school, work, and everyday life.

Where to Park for the Labor Day Festival
If you're planning to attend the West Liberty Labor Day Festival, there is an important detail to know before you arrive:
Parking around Lions Club Park can fill up.

Fortunately, the festival provides overflow parking at three nearby churches:

• Grace Chapel
• Bethel Mennonite Church
• West Liberty First Church of God
  
  

And you don't have to walk from the overflow parking.

A free trolley is available from each overflow parking location to help transport festival visitors.

So don't let parking concerns keep you from coming.

If the main parking areas are full, follow the signs to the overflow locations, park there, and take advantage of the free trolley service.

It is a small detail, but knowing this before you arrive can make your festival experience much easier.
